Bike tour along the Vistula – Part 1
Bike tour Cracow – Warsaw along Vistula River individual
The Vistula is Poland’s longest river and connects important historical cities such as Cracow, Warsaw, and Gdańsk. The queen of Polish rivers is a natural river. It forms a landscape unique to Europe. Its course has been largely unregulated, so the formation of islands and the erosion of its banks can still be observed. It crosses the entire country, from the Beskids in the south to Gdańsk in the north. The Vistula is home to many mammals. Here you can encounter the rare otter, as well as numerous beavers and muskrats. But the river’s greatest treasure lies in its birds – here you can find both the most species at the same time and rare and endangered species.
If you want to discover the world on the Vistula, we offer an eight-day cycling tour from Cracow to Warsaw along the Vistula River. Along the way, you’ll visit ancient and historic sites, such as the medieval town of Sandomierz and the Renaissance castle of Baranów. Even today, the Vistula still flows unregulated in its riverbed. The local nature reserves and bird sanctuaries offer the opportunity to observe nature. At the beginning of the trip, you can also take advantage of an in-depth tour of Cracow, the “Florence of the North.”
